haligtree alliance would also explain why Radahn had a Misbegotten among his ranks, as those are pretty hated by the Golden Order but make more sense if he shared a philosophy with Miquella and Malenia

the crucible knight was an easy explanation: godfrey loves crucible knights therefore Radahn does too, but the Misbegotten made no sense under the golden order loyalist interpretation of Radahn but lines up a lot better with a theoretical Haligtree ally Radahn
 
I also think Radahn agreed to the vow. It wouldn't make much sense for Miquella to value kindness in someone that he plans to brainwash; in that case he'd just force Radahn to be kind lol

As far as what he gets out of it, wouldn't simply becoming Elden Lord be enough? His two favourite people held that title, it makes sense that he would aspire to that aswell.
 
he wouldn't be an elden lord if he's allied with miquella as miquella is anti-elden ring and shattered his own great rune in order to complete his plans to resurrect radahn. He'd be some other kind of lord, similar to us becoming the Lord of Night to Ranni's Age of the Stars I guess? Maybe that's enough, but ideologically it is pretty different from the order Marika raised

I figured it was still considered Elden since Miquella went through the same process of becoming a God as Marika did, while Ranni took completely different steps.

speaking of ranni thats actually another strange point, miquella and ranni have extremely similar dialogue about their planned eras.

the connections between them are bizarre, there's Torrent, the numerous spectral arms, their dialogue, Ranni putting Kale to sleep which is Miquella's other half's domain, and now they're both linked by Radahn being intricately involved in both of their fates in one form or another. Given she was entrusted something by "Torrent's former master" which...seems to have been Miquella (somehow), this makes it seem like they were vaguely aligned at some point? Can't say I know what to make of that other than it's clearly deliberate, and Melina only complicates it further. it does add an additional layer to Radahn's great space adventures, as maybe it was a conscious effort to stop Ranni in favor of Miquella's more compassionate future?

also if Radahn was the Promised Consort of Miquella, then why did Radahn and Malenia clash? Unless Malenia wanted his spot and got rejected. Could be plausible as a war between siblings.
 
we dont really know the exact cause of the battle of Aeonia. theres details surrounding it all that make me think Radahn at some point didn’t think Miquella could hold up his half of the deal, hence that war. The “the deal was Radahn gets to fight Malenia” explanation seems inconsistent with Radahn and Miquella’s characters
