Tbh, in my opinon, I dont think we really need to. After a certain point it ends up becoming meaningless in the grand scheme of the debate. At that point we end up with pages of dudes just arguing which verse is bigger than the other instead of actually arguing about the fight.

Even universal is a bit much for me tbh. "Oh look, both these guys are universal but character A's universe is bigger than character B's so character A wins." Nah bro, universe busting is something that inherently breaks time and space and can't exactly be quantified. If it was two guys who managed to, let's say, 'clear out' a universe then I'd understand because then you're comparing physical matter that can actually be quantified.

Then again this might just be an overreaction because of how this hobby is so focused on biggaversal feats and statements nowadays that it eventually started devolving into comparing cosmology sizes, even when it wouldn't make sense to do so.

well yeah because that’s the only way to decide those kinds of matches, which is why the majority of obd threads have always been between universal and lower characters. You can’t argue in any real way for characters way beyond that without getting into all this nonsense. It’s just unfortunate baggage that comes with those tiers

idk I feel like you can, but people dont actually focus on the fight they only argue which verse is bigger and ignore any other aspects of the fight because in their mind "oh my verse is bigger, that means I just autowin the fight" when we all know that thats not how that shit works. it is and always has been a case by case basis. You can have a bigger verse and still get your ass folded

I get what you’re saying in theory but in practice I’m not really sure how it would be debated

eg if you were asked to explain how Galactus beats Unicron without resorting to any of this convoluted cosmology nonsense, how would you even go about that? I can’t see any angle where you can make the case without unfortunately getting into that rabbit hole of fuck

the thing is i dont necessarily think unicron wins i just have zero clue how anyone could come to that conclusion without getting into the cluster migraine that is cosmology scaling

Just look at what they've done and what they are able to do. Lets say that Unicron had the UN and Galactus didnt. It wouldnt matter if Marvel was bigger than Transformers, Galactus would have gotten his ass yeeted into oblivion.

Size isnt always the answer, the same way biggatons isnt always the answer or hax isnt always the answer. Its a case by case situation.
 
And before i get someone trying to say something stupid
I mean that if the UN never existed in marvel and instead was part of Unicrons kit instead.
