Kratos never directly fought Helios, the dude was basically done by the time you get to him from Perses crushing and hurling him into the mountain side. Hermes’ is not a good one to use since Kratos was able to tag him with a boulder launched from a catapult. Not to mention needing said catapult. Running speed in God of War is slow, it’s the select few reaction feats that are much higher like again, Kratos reacting to lightning in-game.

Wondering where Relativistic Kratos comes from. Best speed feat I recall is that commercial of him avoiding a lightning strike from Zeus and someone actually reaching out to one of the developers to confirm he reacted to it

Not even just that. Downplayers are just as bad. You have no idea how many threads on CV, often between HST and other popular Shounen primarily but also comics every now and than too, just devolve into endless bouts of who can bring in the most downplay feats. Feats from what I remember reading, feats were fine. Even if a good amount of statements and hyperbole was relied on. My two biggest complaints going through what I did: Main villain doesn’t STFU with his endless monologues. They couldn’t pick a more monotone and annoying voice actor too. Villains having backstories so fucked up and tryhard edgy, it’s almost comical. The highlight being that one nazi who got his balls cut off because his mum wanted a girl, sold off as a prostitute, and than raped by their own dad through their eye socket. All as a kid. Like, who writes this shit?

Cant tell you how many times I had to speed read through the cringe writing. The fact that it’s a shit-canned franchise we won’t likely be getting any further translations for saves me the trouble of re-reading anything else.

Dies Irae was a bit of a Deception back when that garbage ass VN was untranslated. It lived up to to its Multiversal hype end game but everything else was wanked to oblivion beforehand. Take away the end game shenanigans and the verse is pretty piss-weak

I miss back when Comicvine actually had decent debates. After the Fate Extra CCC Deception there and general VBW fuckery took over and showed how much people could get away with, a combination of that and the mods doing fuck all to manage it had all the good debaters leave it one by one and trolls overrunning it. On-topic: Worm: Contessa and her Path to Victory has been so thoroughly discredited that the character is reduced to a meme these days. Fate Extra CCC was wanked a few years back with characters like BB being argued as universe busters with infinite stats until it got properly translated. Light Speed Overlord was also a common argument on several sites until again, the series was translated and the verse turned out to be barely Supersonic MCU was wanked pretty hard for a time too.

What about Tenchi Muyo got debunked? Don’t know much of the series myself outside watching that GXP spin-off a while ago but not the main series

And the moment Kratos fights Fat Thor in Ragnarok, he scales to all the mentioned Lore Feats if he didn’t already from fighting Baldur who could beat the crap out of Jormungandr too

Lore stuff in the new God of War puts it way above anything actually demonstrated in the rest of the series minus the Primordial fight in the beginning of Ascension Surtr creating the Sun and providing heat to the cosmos. ^ Thor and Jormungandr destined to destroy the World Tree itself in their final battle. The Jormungandr that appears in the game is actually from the future as a result of a previous fight with Thor sending him back in time because of how much their battle was screwing up space and time.
