Because for some reason that video starts with his backstory which you don't get to until like the second or third novel in the series, and he gets to spend the rest of the series as a hilariously deadpan badass. From what I understand the author was originally going to keep his backstory more vague but then decided to go all in on it.
Even has a similar arc, seeking revenge only to find out they were the killer. Too bad Gabe got screwed afterwords, but he managed to get a happy ending in the end
Scale guy was always busted as hell, but limited by his own magic supply. Now he's hooked up to Lucius who has apparently infinite mana because lmao soul magic. The Black Bulls, same team that briefly matched Lucifero, are killing themselves just to delay him. Shit is wild. :wow
Demon Slayer never actually has its characters hesitate or show mercy because of their opponents past or pain. Tanjiro still kills every demon he fights, he just somehow manages to retain a functioning sense of empathy towards the nightmare monsters he's killing. The closest anyone in Demon Slayer comes to "forgiving" a demon is Tanjiro killing the one spider girl painlessly when she was literally begging him for death.
Speaking as someone who prefers action-based gameplay and loved both 7R and 16's approach....he's talking horseshit :skully 7R has a special mode meant to make it more approximate to turn-based and people got super-excited about it. If it'd been actually turn-based people would have been giving it the exact same level of praise except for "sticking to its guns". Its FF7, it can do no wrong to like 80% of the fanbase.
