How are you reading Magic and RDK currently?
 
I haven’t read anything yet - gonna work on catching up now but just wanted to get my thoughts about yesterday out there before I get bogged down in what’s going on

Still don’t trust magic and think he’s got a pretty decent chance of being scum. When I was pushing Gad yesterday based on the OP, one of the things I asked myself was “why would he not claim his fake character” and in the end I decided that because he’d gone out of his way to paint him claiming a main character the way he did that he’d likely made a miscalculation about it. Reflecting on it though, I’d absolutely expect the better players to bring that kind of question up as it’s the most obvious thing that puts a dampener on the OP push. Obviously nobody did, but magic more than anybody else, I’d expect to be putting some effort into asking those questions and figuring stuff out. He even used the paragraph I’d brought up in his own reason, but never really played devils advocate or critic and asked the question of “why would he claim his real character if he’s the SK?”

Im like fairly sure he was just pushing through and ignoring it and hoping nobody would ask that question lol

I mean I think the question answers itself on your own premise - if he was indi and he is the main character, his flavor claim is more valuable than his fake. He also couldn't do this, because he had already claimed in message to me privately, so that wasn't even on the table for him if Gad was scum
 
Basically it would require indi gad thinks his own claim would implicate him which obviously he didn't if the presumption was he was making a mistake and didn't see OP

I am actually a bit more annoyed with the push on Gad earlier because nobody pushing him was willing to evaluate his interactions with Ekko

Orca should be the lynch anyway.

Like I know I'm beating a dead horse here but look at it - he hasn't even begun to address any points against him. Nobody has offered any sort of defence either - it's just read him town and hope it goes away.

I feel like for the most part there is no thinking going on here, it's infuriating.
 
I get that, I’m not debating the merits of gad claiming or not claiming his character, but rather pointing out that magic never asked the question or indeed put any effort into figuring out that side of things

I feel like you know why this is to a certain extent - it's obvious Orca's a bit of a loon and so you deconstructing him isn't the most convincing in the world

Can you explain your earlier read on him based on the CP kill and his treatment of Kekko

It specifically says roles that can directly or indirectly discern someone’s alignment so it was never in question lol

I mean you had him as town for the CP kill and I don't think you scum read him for how he handled Ekko. These things feel more pertinent than Gad. I'm not saying he couldn't have bussed Ekko but if you see no cracks in how he got there it's enough to make me hesitate.

I'm going to insist on this direction. I think there has frankly been some mealy mouthing regarding the strength of his claim, but it doesn't stand up to scrutiny - way too much is bei g made of his role to deflect from what is pretty much open scumming. Christ, yesterday he was hunting for Indies in Polar simply because his focus is on identifying them.

@Magic Your claim that I was gunning for Dofla is very dishonest. While my vote was there, what you neglect to mention is that my vote remained there long after he ceased to be a wagon - I think it's pretty plain that I was keeping my vote off to move it later. Given that he was put to within -1 earlier in the day, there was no major concern of the lynch failing at the time my vote was on Dofla, and as we got towards the end of the day, I duly switched. I feel like you're looking for a gotcha here that doesn't actually stand up.

I'm happy to claim if it comes to it, but I also want your claim, and with a janitor the value of claims isn't all that high anyway so I think I'd like a mass claim. There should be an order to this of course.

Outside of the above, I think objectively Retro has been around too long. A mass claim would firstly identify if Zeus even exists for starters (it could have been Xadlin, but I feel like he would have been inclined to claim it day 1 though he could have just missed it), so while that's not my #1 lynch it's probably my #2.

I'm easing off of T-Pein. I think his direction yesterday (on Retro) was optimal and given the opportunity that was afforded to him with Gad I think he probably could have switched. As a type this I get the feeling he did switch, but I'm left asking myself if he really just commits to tunnelling Retro all day as scum only to pivot late when he knows it would look bad. I'm iffy on that slot, but not my first choice.

Polar I think is a good direction too. I suspect he wouldn't be on the same team as Orca so I'd like Orca's flip first.

With what's left, I'm not impressed by RDK. I think most of his contributions have been pretty tame - he offered no inclination to clear people from Ekko and actually judging by his response it appears that the ides of doing so didn't even occur to him. I don't have any real read on Alco which I acknowledge is disappointing, but I'd appreciate if someone could give me some pointers there.

Out of what remains I have Nibel and Tweet from there. These are slots that gun to head I should say are town, but aren't really doing it for me. I could see some scum in here, but I'd need to add the above cleared or flipped to get to there.

Hmmm I’m kinda torn here because I do have orca as scum but this seems slimy lol
