Yes of course the trans villain has to be seen as so powerful and "scary" that the "Doctor" runs away immediately and doesn't even want to TRY to face him and doesn't even win at the end, the villain just being defeated by pure dumb luck. Fucking cringe!
I do have to laugh though at how the Trans Villain is revealed to have a traumatic past with an abusive father and the dumbasses writing this probably don't even realize what "stereotype" they just played right into by doing that.

Pretty much yeah.
I mean I'm not a Doctor Who fan and never have been but how the fuck are we supposed to like a hero who has (in both episodes) ran away at the first sign of danger? It would be one thing if I believe they were going to do something with that, like a character arc but we all know it's just them trying to subvert masculinity or some shit by having him not stand his ground.

Well yeah Pegasus wasn't going to go through all that set-up to summon a monster with 0 atk if it didn't have SOME kind of trick to it.
If anything, it gets very old later on when we get characters constantly question why opponents are using lower atk monsters when by that point, EVERYONE knows that it either means it has an effect or the person using it has set a spell or trap card.
I get it's for dramatic effect but you can only do it so many times before it starts to get annoying.
This thing was such a mood whiplash over the goofy Toons Pegasus used before. Kazuki Takahashi was a genius at monster design.
Like, you knew when you got one look at this monstrosity that the man was no longer playing around.
Yeah the point was that Pegasus was pissed off and was dropping the Toons which arguably represent the childish and pure persona he puts on (and likely was at one point), and playing monsters that better represented the inhuman beast that he'd become.
It's one of the better instances of Yu-Gi-Oh! using a character's deck to tell the audience who that character is as a person.
Another exceptional instance of this would be Edo and Judai discussing why they both play Heroes and then Edo cutting the bullshit and bringing out the D-Heroes.

Hell, they even had to force the meme of Biden telling Trump to shut up acting like it's some epic own when it was proof that Trump simply pissed Biden off to have him be legit angry...
