Yeah I've been meaning to go over that string of questions on Twitter. How are all of you nibbas not talking about how Gen is somehow still alive according to Capcom. Let my man kill something for once Capcom I beg of you
.
At least he killed Goutetsu... And it's not like Capcom would undo his death to make him playable, right? How are all of you nibbas not talking about how Gen is somehow still alive according to Capcom. Let my man kill something for once Capcom I beg of you

Nothing of note other than Mai being hot. Inconclusive match with Juri and Honda. Just Mai being Mai.
Watch Goutetsu come back to life out of sheer willpower to tell Akuma how proud he is of his accomplishments or some shitAt least he killed Goutetsu... And it's not like Capcom would undo his death to make him playable, right?
....that is stupid as hell man
I demand Morrigan as a DLC, and that she's left untouched by the so-called "ethics" department
Imagine if Street Fighter's top-tiers like Ryu or Akuma if not all other SF characters scaling to Darkstalkers characters like Pyron, Jedah, and Morrigan became unironically canon now.

I mean speaking of Morrigan and scaling.Imagine if Street Fighter's top-tiers like Ryu or Akuma if not all other SF characters scaling to Darkstalkers characters like Pyron, Jedah, and Morrigan became unironically canon now.
I bet all the Tekken scalers and bros out there are about to get salty asf that they'll never win a debate against the SF-verse again without bringing in some equally ridiculous crossover scaling of their own somehow.
Okay I'll shut up now.
Crossovers titles sure but the worlds just don't mesh at all. I love SF and Darkstalkers tremendously but both of them being in the same world would ruin a lot of the setting of both to me.Tbf it has been hinted at forever in tons of crossover titles and in the comics.
Just waiting for the proper crossover to happen to confirm it.
It means we might be getting a Darkstalkers character for one of the seasons of DLC. I would love Talbain.
I suppose you didn't like it when Udon connected both franchises in their comics. They could work just fine if they don't fumble the writing...Crossovers titles sure but the worlds just don't mesh at all. Jon is also good choice because of his martial arts background. So, if we could get both him and Morrigan, that would be awesome!Would love a DS character in SF though. Agree on Talbain being probably the best choice, I love Donovan and Huitzil but Donovan is too normal looking to be meaningful as a crossover character and Huitzil's too weird. Jon's in a good middle ground.
I think stuff like that is fun as a what-if my issue is bringing it into the main canon, I like the lore for both games a ton and just can’t imagine them working next to each other.I suppose you didn't like it when Udon connected both franchises in their comics. They could work just fine if they don't fumble the writing...
crossovers are 100% ok with me but when you’re establishing the main storylines together…idk man I can’t see galaxy sized alien gods and dimension spanning vampire lords coexisting with the very idea of “Street Fighter”Still, do you prefer to keep them separate so both sides stay thematically consistent?
Nah, it's just a flowchart of all fighters inspired by SF
I mean speaking of Morrigan and scaling.
As I have said before when justifying continental scaling for Street Fighter characters prior to the Honda feat, most in-house Capcom crossovers have hinted at this.
Time for a breakdown.
We first have Ryu and Hulk fighting Dah'ren Mohran from Monster Hunter and both doing equal work in taking it down from Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. Elder Dragons like that start out at Continental in power:
Then we have Teppen where Ryu causes Morrigan to get interested/nervous. The Satsui no Hado itself giving her pause.
This ties into Thanos's description of the Satsui no Hado's ability to harm/kill abstracts:
The Street Fighter x Darkstalkers comic details how the Satsui no Hado is of Makai (and everything really) and that any of its users are similar to Darkstalkers. In addition, Akuma's SF6 appearance is directly explained in the comic Akuma vs Hell.

Now, there are some obvious inconsistencies with the comics because Gen was confirmed to be alive by the SF6's director. That is one of the many reasons the comics are considered non-canon.
The precedence for crossover scaling has always been there and it applies as more than referential tidbits.
