I gave up on trying to read Sky, she routinely contradicts herself in ways that I used to think only scum would ever do but flips town regardless all of the time

I can scum read a dude on the basis he doesn't provide any content and is more in line with his scum play. I can also apply pressure to Melkor, the sub, and see what there's conflict on.
But suuuuure.
