If I were to theorize a scum motivation on Magic’s part here it would actually be thinking Ratchet is indie and not wanting him to be alive to shoot scum

1) the path to victory made more sense as scum than as indy
2) at first I thought you twobwere aligned but that doesn't make much sense from his position
3) I also noticed people just largely standing around and not bothering weighing in on our positions. The apathy makes no sense for scum as they either side with you or side against you for credibility but not do neither for no real end result
4) everyone giving half ass poe answers from Tempest to Ratchet to all the inactives. Ratchet also hasn't really tried to do anything about solving his other poe all game. His entire focus has been on us and this argument.

Point 1 is my hang up, because I'm not sure why you're concluding this now rather than yesterday if it really jived
Point 3 is good but fails to explain why your focus is on Ratchet who has been taking strong positions and not the gawking onlookers who you're equating him with, obviously I'm a bit biased because I find myself largely in agreement with him, but I made this same observation and I think the natural conclusion is the people fencesitting are more likely scum here. Is Ratchet fencesitting?

So you want to tell me that Magic is the very figure of frustration having not gotten his ly ch and watched the town get to the brink, but when it really matters, he wants to lynch elsewhere, just when he has all the conditions to get the flip he wanted.
Is that a believable progression? I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that deadline is in 6.5 hours and a no lynch is objectively beneficial to scum. Especially scum caught in a thunder dome.
Again I've pointed out again and again how his positions are ingenuine and inauthentic and here he is, getting cold feet. It's weak as hell, town Magic isn't weak as hell. He's concerned with his survival and this is the optimal route for that.
