Finished Armored Core 6. Easily one of the best games go come out in recent years, even if it's being slept on right now. Not too long, about 10-20 hours, and has lots of replayability. Easy 8/10 to 9/10... ...but in spite of all that, this game is not Armored Core. It seems like it initially, but the deeper you go, it personally seems like the game owes more to Souls than it does its own series. New fans need not worry, but old-school AC fans should heed this warning IMO.

Supposedly Mori is following the exact notes Miura gave him on how the story would go down. Whether it be stuff he wrote down or from conversations they had, considering the two were best friends since high school. Anything Mori doesn't remember won't be put on paper; it's explicitly stuff Miura planned otherwise. The art may be different, but it's still the same Berserk.

It may be taking more influence from V (and even some souls stuff) but it's still very clearly AC at its heart. Besides I've been waiting a decade for this game and I don't have time to be disappointed.
