Not to mention the protagonists winning without even using their ace cards was not a good look for Yuya's counterparts there. 🤣 It honestly is a crying shame though that, at the end of the day, the female characters in Yu-Gi-Oh will always end up being jobbers at best, assuming they aren't just cheerleaders to start with. Compared to Digimon where they are at least always relevant, if not necessarily the equal of the goggleheads. It's one of those things Digimon does better than Yugioh generally speaking.

The difference is not in level of maturity, it's in nihilism vs optimism and yes the difference is literally ONLY in demographic/personal preference. Weather it is made for kids or adults doesn't make any inherent difference because material made for kids CAN still include all those concepts and vice versa. Ironically enough they more often then not treat it more maturely than material made for adults, which usually use it for pure shock value and nothing else. Obviously I think people know by now, my preference leans more towards the optimistic side of the spectrum BUT IMO the best kinds of stories are the ones that struck a good balance between optimism and nihilism. You can have both IMO, it's often very interesting when the perspectives clash. But like what you like I guess.

It's just a shame that fight's so damn easy that, unless you specifically sit and listen to the music, you don't get to hear much of it. As overall boss battles, Seymour 2 (Natus) and 3 (Flux) were way more fun encounters. Omnis is just a massive pushover. :maybe

I was trying the Link Starter Deck in solo mode on Master Duel earlier, just to try and get the hang of this shit. Felt like an idiot when I was trying to use a Link 2 monster and another monster to get a Link 3 (Decode Talker) more easily and it wasn't working and it was confusing me. Only to THEN realize "wait, why does that one specify it's an Effect monster. HOLD UP, are there normal Link Monsters?" 🤦‍♂️ I guess I'm that used to all the extra deck summons being effect monsters by default and it just goes to show that I've not watched Vrains. Hell I didn't even notice Link monsters didn't have defense points until I was using them earlier. 🤣
