Because they downplay the shit out of The Elder Scrolls... despite Skyrim basically being the king bullshit of how The Elder Scrolls really is powerlevel wise(Seriously, how can you downplay that Dragon Shouts is literally altering reality and bending it to your whims? The Dragons don't even breath fire, they break reality hard enough to allow them to do that!)

I just wonder how they're able to downplay something as simple as Slow Time or Soul Tear. Which even most casuals agree is a combo that can give the Dragonborn most Ws.

Because like I said before, SB puts WAY too much stock into how things are presented rather than actually shown or told(unless it's a series they like).
They legit believe that only gameplay, not lore, matters most which is why they downplay Elder Scrolls(and other series but let's stick to TES for the sake of it) to that ridiculous point. Thus Shigaraki can speedblitz The Dragonborn because apparently, the Dragonborn can only move as fast as his ingame model, not actually how the feats should truly play out(This is also how they do feats with Final Fantasy despite again the obvious things that the lore establishes against that but again, context).

This is also why for them, the Daedric Gods and Alduin and even normal Dragons who legit cannot ever die, are downplaying MONSTROUSLY because "they show nothing impressive in gameplay"
As one of the users legit brings up in that thread:
I have never, in several years of debating, seen a developer unambiguously say, "the in-game novels are of, 'higher canon,' than the games themselves." Far as I can tell, The Elder Scrolls hates using the word "canon" unless absolutely necessary.

This is in spite of the fact that many video game manuals that play out the story, materials within the story and books that some developers make... are just as canon as the games...
But not to SB it isn't. Apparently gameplay ALWAYS matters, Word of God be damned. Let's also ignore gameplay limitations or it's gonna be extremely tricky to write down how X can do Y... without basically having the setting be destroyed in the aftermath(Even if you could do that, there's a reason most storytellers in general don't have the characters consistently show these levels of strength and power not just because "The writers aren't always on the ball" but it would start fucking with the plot.

What? Demiurge has a multiple-page monologue in his head while a supersonic person charges at him. Shalltear is able to move so fast the air around her turns into flame which is hypersonic. And amp herself up even further with Time Accelerator. Ainz using the fly spell can reach orbit in a few seconds.


How are they slow?

Yep, all of that is somehow supposed to be majorly impressive in spite of the following:
1. Speed of Thought is extremely, extremely quick and sometimes can go ludicrously fast. It's to the point no one has a reliable speed for how fast it is but it's definitely not even remotely close enough to be impressive as he makes it.

2. Wow Hypersonic, that's still not impressive even to a Captain in the SS Arc:


And this was a weakened Byakuya using the Limiter at that and Ichigo couldn't even react to him(nor even tell his blade was broken until he seen it) despite getting a Reiatsu boost moments ago that made Renji come off slower than him.

3. So we have a speed for that "Time Accelerator"?

4. Orbit? Do you mean the Atmosphere? Because the only Orbit of Earth is the Orbit Earth does around the Sun. If you mean Earth's Atmosphere or Mesosphere(because I doubt he passed the Exosphere) is only around 30-50 miles(or in KM, 50 and 80)... which is seriously not that impressive at all.
EDIT: And just reading through it, apparently it's just Ainz being able to reach the Clouds... holy shit does that make it even worse! :oldryoma

But hey, this is someone from SB who wanks the fuck out of series like Overlord.
