First you say that my post didn't come across as intending to be funny, now it's too forced - if my intention isn't to be lighthearted originally, why would I then bother trying too hard to make it come across as funny (all before you claim to have issue with this, mind). Forgive the setup spec - but not informing a Mason of their partner's player identity tells me there is a reason for the increased anonymity - the most obvious reason for this would be that the chat is split scum/town (as the benefit of two people solving out of thread is hamstrung). Given this, her desire to claim it so early and the anxiety that otherwise seems unjustified would make more sense if she were the scum half of the masonry. Lots of assumptions, sure, but it makes sense to me.
