how strong even is scion

Just Scion ~continental if I'm remembering old SB threads properly

EDIT: supposedly Full Entities have up to galaxy level durability but A this comes from suspect members on SB and B this is some kind of silly "total mass across parallel worlds" or some shit but they can have their forms blown apart by far weaker attacks

it doesnt help that the author used to actively participate in debates and has claimed that Saitama can beat Scion

To play the devils advocate, what about the eye beams? They are practically hit-scan and they tore a plane in half with a single blast, and he has demonstrated a fair bit of accuracy with them. What about burning out Archers eyes?

Could he get those defenses up in time? If we assume Homelanders eye beams are lasers then they are at least light speed. Is Archer capable of reacting to an attack moving that quickly?

This actually doesn't avoid the problem of a light speed attack. Whether its throwing up a defense, dodging or going intangible still requires him to act upon those decisions and carry them out before a light speed attack hits him.
This on the other hand could do the trick. If Archer has proper combat precog then yes, he could prepare for it a moment before it happens. Other than combat precog I don't see Archer not ending up with a hollowed out, charred skull.

I get what this person is trying to do, I really do but here is a couple of problems with this(One of them is even answered in the topic):
1. Archer has blocked Medea's attacks before with his Banshou and Byakuya:

Homelander isn't hitting him.

2. Homelander's Eye Beams MAY be LS but everything else about him damn sure isn't. Everything about Archer is WELL beyond Homelander's speed and reactions and even reacted to people faster than him.

3. Homelander's best feat with those is burning the SHIT out of Black Noir's flesh and potentially even reduce some to the bone... the problem is that Archer is AGAIN FAR, FAR more durable than Black Noir even on his best day.

4. And finally, Archer stacks to these:

So the lasers would never hit him to begin with, wouldn't do any real damage and Archer would kill him before he does it because they aren't always his go to move.

Homelander aint shit to like 90% of anything

Of course but I'm playing by "Devil's Advocate" rules. Homelander wouldn't do dick to even Nasuverse Mages and would get bodied by any Route Shirou, Rin, Kotomine and even Illya if you want to be real.
Homelander's only real feats was again against normal humans and Black Noir who is unspecifically stated to be "stronger than him".

That's what happens you come from a story written by an edgy man-child with a hate boner for superheroes that wants them to both look bad and be a joke.

Yep, it's why people mock him because it's like "Yeah we get it, American Comics has too much Superheroes and not much other variety, PLEASE stop bitching about it by shitting on Superheroes".

I actually like Wildbow and Worm but like... fucking what?

It's why we mock PTV and how retarded VS. Battlers take it vs. How it happens in-story.

Oh right I forgot to state something about yesterday:

Oberon can operate The "Insect of the Abyss" independently from himself and basically is like the equivalent of it's brain. His sleep spells are potent enough to even work on Servants easily and I'm not certain if it worked on Artoria Avalon as I didn't comb through Lostbelt 6 that way.

And the Insect of the Abyss doesn't just have it's Black Hole, it's legit 1,440 KM long(i.e. It's literally the size of a small Country), it's movements and even moving it's wings literally destroyed Lostbelt Britain so it's basically Country level by not just it's basic attacks but also by the sheer pressure it's wings generate. You can damage it but it's temporary and it heals overtime so that won't really work either.
And for it's "Black Hole" capabilities, it's actually a conceptual ability of it being "A Bottomless Pit" and that was why Cernnunos was fucking stuck in there for so long. I mentioned it acts like a Black Hole but as I pointed out before, it's legit worse as once you fall in, if someone doesn't release you from the outside at the right spot, you are SoL as you legit cannot leave by ANY means(Including Teleportation or how Chaldeas does Zero Sails) until you ultimately fall in too deep and get melted into nothing.
Of course, that means you can just defeat Oberon to stop the Insect of the Abyss but good luck with that when the reason he was defeated was because they was already inside of it when they fought despite having the Concept of the Holy Sword user with them.

The downplay with American Comic Book characters always turns stupid because you can say the same shit about many other series.
How about the episode in Dragonball Super where Goku and Vegeta throw Rocks(okay, it's Katchin Katchin but still) at an opponent in the ToP arc? Why don't they just use their Universal+ Power and blow away almost the entire stage?

Why doesn't Touma/Accelerator/etc. basically flatten the Planet/Solar System/Universe when they are fighting random bad guys?

Why does Ruby and Blake lose to basic bitch Grimm that can die to a suit of armor falling on it?

Well, in Touma's case... he's just not that physically strong. And Accelerator's offense is way below his defense (in a way).
I get your point though.
