As someone without a particularly strong opinion on One Piece one way or the other, this blow up over Gear 5 has been genuinely entertaining. Both the positive and negative responses have been completely disproportionate to what appears to have basically been a warm-up episode. I'm nor super familiar with Trails, but of the other three I'd assume it'd be Yakuza. KH involves Nomura coming up with new shit and then bending over backwards to fit it into his existing fanfiction. It's a clusterfuck and at this point it's only good because it's a clusterfuck. If it'd actually been planned out it'd be a bunch of pretentious nonsense, but instead it's beautiful nonsensical chaos and we will never escape Mr. Nomura's wild ride. Xenoblade wasn't originally meant to be a series. Xenoblade 2 only connects to the first game at the end and in a way that basically retcons half of the XB1 endgame. XB3 is an actual sequel to both but is also deliberately written in a way to make that not matter if it's your jumping on point. The connections are there but aren't a central point of the base game. Yakuza is more or less a single continuous story as I understand it so it'd win out over the other two.

What's especially funny is that at first the dude's design (or rather one of them, specifically his third ascension I believe) was considered kind of off-putting at first by a large portion of the player base, but after they played through the story it clicked and now he's super popular (most people still like his first ascension better though).

Fate has some pretty severe inaccuracies, though most of them are intentional either to make them fit into the Nasuverse better or just because the author felt it made for a better story. Leaving the gender-swap stuff aside, Attila the Hun is actually an alien, Karna and Arjuna have their characters basically swapped (which has a ripple effect on everyone in their story), the Greek gods were robots, the Mayan gods were space fungus, and a bunch of other stuff besides. Most of it gets explained or addressed in the story, but it's still there. Except the Karna and Arjuna thing, that part is because they exaggerated the "noble villain vs flawed hero" dynamic the OG's had to the point Karna is now the good guy and Arjuna the bad guy. It's stupid and drags down every Fate story involving their myth. And I will rant about it forever

Game Hector could beat demons to death with his bare hands and actually beat Dracula in a fight after getting his power back. At the very least his arc should have been escaping Carmilla and turning right around and capping her ass. It's also the only mini-arc that doesn't lead to anything. At least the sidequests Issac or Trevor/Sypha go on lead them back to the main plot eventually. Instead Alucard just gets another different mini-arc that was just an excuse to introduce another "girlboss" character and let Alucard actually use his damn shield. The character progression for Trevor and Sypha was essentially just them really slowly coming to the realization that they kinda want to be done with the monster shit and just build a family. But it takes them two seasons to do it and most of it is in season 4. Issac and his talks with the captain and Hector were the closest Season 3-4 got to decent writing, and Issac probably came out the best of the lot in terms of how he was...

Alucard getting butt-fucked by random twins before they also fuck him over Trevor and Sypha stuck on an endless series of sidequests Issac stuck on an endless series of sidequests Death sounds like an angry internet need Dracula is only revived in the epilogue, as a human at that which means continuing the series without forcing more tragedy on him is impossible And some other stuff I'm probably forgetting. About the only things that stuck with me were Season 4's last few fights which were pretty neat.
