I’ve heard Scarecrow also has syringes he can stab you with to inject it, and a “Scarebeast” form. Mysterio still wins for sure, but with all the illusions going around it’s sure to be a visually engaging fight.

Fair enough. Though I would like to say I think the main appeal of Bullseye vs Deadshot is that Bullseye is a more unconventional marksman who’ll take random everyday objects and throw them with enough accuracy to still make them lethal. Toothpicks (sniped a woman through a window with one, one time), paper clips (derailed an ambulance with one), friggin Paper Airplanes (threw one hard enough to pierce through a window, and another hard enough to KO Daredevil lol) you name it. It would just be so much fun IMO to see an animated fight with him doing crazy trick shots with a bunch of random bullshit :skully No other fight has that exact appeal to me.

Wouldn’t street level matchups not have that problem? I’ll still keep wanting Mysterio vs Scarecrow and Bullseye vs Deadshot, come what may :catsalute

I have no clue why either lol. Funnily enough though. I did a bit of digging to see if the DB team had ever mentioned Doctor Manhattan before and the matchup was apparently mentioned passingly in a Ballot Banter a few months ago. "Doctor Manhattan VS Richard Nixon (Watchmen VS Monument Mythos)- It’s mentioned that there were “Death Battle Awards” on the Discord, and Manhattan VS Nixon won an award as part of them, so they (probably jokingly) say they have to do it because of that."

So you think neither of them would work with just him carrying? Who would you see Doctor Manhattan getting a matchup against then, out of curiosity? For some reason I feel like DB will probably feature him eventually.

Oh and @Maddie The Giggle actually gives Celestial Toymaker some cool off-screen feats he mentions to The Doctor. Big one being defeating the Guardians of Time and shrinking them into Voodoo dolls As well as some more minor (comparatively lol) but still cool ones like toying with Supernovas, turning Galaxies into Spin Tops, turning an unknown "God" into a Jack-in-the-Box, and trapping The Master in his Gold Tooth

I enjoyed The Giggle, personally. And yeah, i'd second this. Seems like a fun matchup to me.

Out of all 4 of them I think Doc Manhattan is the most known, really. So I think his name recognition could carry the matchup to be fair. Though I understand people want him to fight some weird version of Nixon? I'd think MM would at least be less obscure than an AU Nixon but who knows, I guess...

Late on this. But with characters on that scale but I prefer Molecule Man vs Doctor Manhattan. Feels like there are more connections there (I've heard they originally got their powers in a similar way). Owen probably stomps (I know Doc Manhattan got a massive amp from Rebirth, but it's hard to beat "Omniverse in a Box" lol) but I could see some good dialogue between the two and there being some fun with both characters trying to manipulate the very narrative of the fight while it's happening.

On a similar note. I’m curious how the guy who does skulls for defeated combatants will handle Unicron’s. In the animation he wasn’t erased by the UN but he was energy absorbed to death so similarly to Rick there would be nothing left to base a skull on lol.

I won't disagree with you that Unicron was lowballed. But for the UN specifically it goes beyond standard existence erasure with it being able to erase conceptual beings like Abraxas. So I understand if they'd want a feat of Unicron resisting existence erasure shown to have erased a similarly powerful conceptual being (like his brother Primus for example).

Nah. That was UI Omen. Basically an incomplete form that couldn’t use offense automatically yet. But still vastly above base form power-wise with how it allowed him to casually toss away Toppo and Dyspo and give Jiren more of a fight than even his SSBKKx20 did.

Looking forward to the G1 blog prediction later today. I remember they favored Megatron, though DB ended up giving the win to Frieza. Galactus is definitely a much more fearsome opponent than Frieza though (as well as Unicron being a much more powerful Transformers rep of course). So I’m curious who they’ll go with this time?
