I don't really think this is true at all? He was unlikely to be scum with CP, in fact he was pushed almost entirely as a counter wagon to CP, and also this doesn't consider him potentially having been rolecopped or something too. I think there are enough permutations at play here to warrant against arbitrarily assuming who the Mafia opted to kill. Who do you think killed Ekko, then?

Huh? Poisons typically resolve a cycle afterwards - a full cycle would be the end of the following night phase. Otherwise how would healers ever heal it?

Why would the SK kill Ekko, or rather, why would it be more likely for the SK to kill Ekko compared to the Mafia? Note that you also claim Ekko was scum read enough to possibly be Vigged, and the SK would have incentive to hit town after scum died back to back, which isn't to say they would of course.
If you're the Vig that shot Ekko, you should probably just say so, scum will have figured it out already and it beats trying to argue around this.

I’m not the vig lol. Tbh my working theory is that mafia killed flower, the vig killed Ekko and SK killed Watson but the latter 2 are shooting in the dark as there’s no real way to spec between them. You can spec about the mafia kill, and I don’t think mafia killing Ekko makes any sense

When does this ever happen? Like seriously, it's always cyclical to give healers a chance, unless the healer is a day action for whatever reason. What games are you playing, here is the description of the Poison ability:
"[Poisoner(2 shot)]-You can target a player at night and poison them. If they are not healed they will die at the conclusion of the following night phase. If a successful poison kill is accomplished the role will automatically be set to zero shots."
Now I don't know about you, but "at the conclusion of the following night phase" seems pretty explicit to me. It's how it has always been done here - you're completely inventing this just to have something to argue. Sincerely, what on Earth are you doing?
