Fairy Tail Mafia - Rules, Mechanics, Sample Role PM, Claiming, Actions Processing Order, Player List

Fairy Tail Mafia
Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Fairy Tail Mafia, a game hosted by Kekko. You do not need any prior knowledge of Fairy Tail in order to participate in and enjoy the game. The flavor is merely for the amusement of the weebs amongst you, including myself, and will serve no real purpose in the gameplay.
Good Luck and Have Fun!
=======================
Game Rules:=======================
- All standard mafia and OLF rules apply. Do not copy your role PM, paraphrase as necessary. Do not talk to players outside the game about the game, unless in private chats started by the host. Do not talk or react to posts after death. Do not edit/delete posts. etc..
- All day phases and night phases will be 24 hours. The first day is 48 hours.
- Voting using this format is preferred: [Vote Lynch PlayerName]. I will try to count all formats but please understand that they may be missed if incorrect format is used.
- The lynch style of this game is Plurality. Players may however opt to [Vote End Day] starting day 2 onwards, requiring a majority vote. This will end the day immediately, including terminating the ongoing [Grand Magic Game]. Players who do not participate in the game by that point will automatically fail.
- Vote counts may not show the exact amount of votes in play.
- Tied votes at the end of the day will result in No Lynch.
- There is NO night talk.
- Please try to make at least 3 game-related posts each day. I will not enforce mod punishment for inactivity for one phase, but if a player's inactivity is continuous for more than one phase it will result in a forced sub.
- Drama is often times inevitable in mafia, but please do not excessively cry or whine or request to be publicly subbed out or anything that may ruin the game experience for other players. If you have anything to take with any player or the host, save it until after the game.
- This is the host's preferred color. All titles and write-ups made with this color are official. Please make sure you are able to see that color clearly.
- The host has the ability to make any game updates if it's deemed necessary for balance purposes, but this will always be a last resort thing.
- Most importantly - Play the game to win and have fun!
=======================
Game Mechanics:
- There are 5 classes of mages in this game, in this order from weakest to strongest: Unranked, S Class, SS Class, 10-Year Class, and 100-Year Class. All roles in the game will start at the Unranked class unless specified otherwise in your role. Players may compete each day in the [Grand Magic Games] which takes place in a separate game thread in order to promote to the next class and upgrade their roles.
- At the start of each day, a different [Grand Magic Game] will commence on that separate thread. Players may use that thread as they like for the purpose of that game. Each game will outline clearly the required conditions to pass it. Players who pass a game will promote to the next class, while those who fail will remain in their current class for the night.
- During even night phases, players who fail to climb a class in either of the previous 2 days will face off in an RPS Versus Battle in an attempt to make up for that missed promotion. Players who win in the RPS Match will climb a class, but will not be able to use their new class abilities or upgrades that night. The Versus Battles may also be used to tie-break the Magic Games.
- Most roles in the game will be vanilla or near vanilla at the Unranked level. With each class a player climbs, their role will get slightly stronger. This could be via unlocking abilities or upgrading existing abilities as specified by the role. You will not lose any part of your current role or upgrades when you climb to a new class. Your role simply gets stronger.
- There will be no hidden, bastard, or obscure game/role mechanics, and each role will clearly identify what upgrades or new abilities it will obtain with each new class it climbs. There will be no purely vanilla roles, however, the game will still mostly feel relatively on the low to medium end of role madness.
- There will be certain roles labeled as [Super Roles] in the game. These roles are slightly stronger than average and are valuable assets to their respective alignments. Super Roles are immune to having their role 'permanently' affected by any negative action. For instance, a permanent vanillizer will only turn a Super Role vanilla for one cycle instead of permanently.
- There will be certain roles labeled as [Dragon Slayer] in the game. These roles are immune to the negative actions caused by "Dragons' Wrath". More information on this will be provided as the game progresses.
- Each role in the game will have an "Ultimate" ability that can be unlocked by climbing classes as specified in the role itself. These abilities are slightly stronger than normal and can be impactful game-changers if used correctly. The ultimate abilities can be unlimited shot actives, one-shots, or even passives.
- There are 3 levels of standard kills in this game: regular, super, and ultra. a super-kill is just a regular kill + 1 level, and ultra-kill is a regular kill +2 levels or a super-kill + 1 level. Ultra-kills are by default immune to roleblocks and redirections. There are abilities in the game that reduce or increase kill strength by X levels. An ultra-kill cannot be increased in levels, furthermore, if a regular kill strength was reduced by 1 level, the kill will disappear.
- There are only 2 levels of protective abilities in this game: regular and super. a super-protect is just a regular protect + 1 level. Increasing the level of a super-protect does nothing. Decreasing the level of a regular protect will make that protect disappear.
- If a player attempts to kill another player who is at least 2 classes ahead of them, the kill strength will be reduced by 1 (ex: an S Class player trying to kill a 10-Year Class or higher). If a player attempts to kill another player who is at least 2 classes behind them, the kill strength will be increased by +1 (ex: a 100-Year Class trying to kill an SS Class or lower). Effective n3 onward.
- This game will be a standard multiball, featuring 2 mafia factions that CANNOT win with each other by any means:
--- The primary town faction in this game is Fiore
--- The primary mafia factions in this game are Alvarez Empire and Balam Alliance
--- There may or may not be independents on the battlefield
=======================
Claiming:
- DO NOT flavor claim or hint or claim ability names or anything that may make the players guess which character you are. This game can easily be solved via flavor claiming or hinting, thus they will not be tolerated. Take this as your first and only warning.
- Any player who flavor claims, or strongly hints at flavor to the point that the other players start to figure out who they exactly are, or what their alignment is, will be modlynched. This will end the day in that player's lynch. This is the fairest way to handle such claims.
- All roles, abilities, and win conditions in the game can be claimed using simple mafia terms (roleblock, kill, charges, skill, ability, copy, shots, backup, jail, etc...). If you are unsure about whether a claim/word reveals flavor or not, please consult with me first in your role PM. As a heads up, most ability names will reveal flavor and therefore are banished. Play the game like how you play a vanilla flavor game.

[100-Year Class Active - Ultimate - Ability 2] - Once in the game, at night, you may activate this ability to use [Ability 1] on 2 players that night. This is an activated passive. [1-shot].
Win Con - Eliminate all threats to Fiore.
=======================
Action Processing Order:
Non-conflicting night actions process at the same time. Directly conflicting night actions follow the following processing order:
1. passives (ex: bulletproofs), immunities (ex: immune to cops, immune to roleblocks)
2. controls (ex: mafia has a player's full role previously and now takes control over it this night)
3. activated passives (ex: activate a bulletproof on yourself; grant yourself investigation immunity; self commute; self refill)
4. self redirects (ex: redirecting abilities from yourself to another player), self busdrives (ex: busdriving yourself with another player)
*5. roleblocks, rolecrushes, disables, vote silence, permanent amputations, ability destructions, preventative abilities (ex: targeting a player with a roleblock)
*6. normal redirects (ex: redirecting a player's actions elsehwere), normal busdrives (ex: busdriving 2 players), blinds (ex: redirecting a player's actions at random)
7. protects, heals, refills, supportive abilities (ex: refilling or protecting a player)
8. special / non categorized abilities (ex: send a player a message, sending a player a deal/special ability, gifting a vig shot or armor)
9. kills, bleeds, poisons (ex: factional kill or vig kill). the strongest kill process first. kills process in this order: indie kills > mafia kills > town kills.
10. converts (ex: change the alignment of a player. for sake of avoiding unfortunate deaths right as you change alignment, this is processed after deaths, however before cops)
11. cops, trackers, watchers, investigative abilities
* if player X bus drives A and B together, and player Y roleblocks A, the roleblock will go to B. However if player Y roleblocks X directly, it will cancel the busdrive altogether.
* Equal and opposite actions of these natures will cancel out. If 2 roleblockers block each others, assuming no outside interference, the effect is canceled and neither player is roleblocked.
