thats not what i didnt like though. i said i did not like u saying u wud lynch him even if he is town. that just tells me u r more policy lynching him than lynching for scum read.
also makes it easier for u to walk safely after his lynch by saying "see guys it was a good lynch even if he flipped town!"

I answered you and you, predictably, had no follow up. I don't really think you can claim you're just trying to understand my thought process when you don't appear to have any interest in that process once it has been given.
Here is what I think happened. You read my post and, without context from the thread, thought "maybe he is trying to buddy me here". So your asking me was, in effect, an accusation. You later found out that it doesn't make any sense to work that way given my alignment, so you say it was just an attempt at understanding. If this is the case, it's better if you save us both the hassle and just concede the point at hand, rather than dress it up as something it almost certainly was not.
if you were targeted, I was thinking there's some things that could happen:
1. *If* you died last night, and you flipped scum and I flipped town, it gives leads.
2. If we both died last night, that's two town that can be ISO'd by players to get an even better lead and solve the game.
3. If Town, you can light the way and I've given Town time to solve things and gain clarity for an extra day, with the benefit.
Flipping you would solifidy all of this, but any thing I chose, I felt you were the better decision to protect in my normal, convuluted process.
I was wondering whether I should protect BPD over you, because there were other possibilities I was weighing in.
If he's scum, he may be taking advantage of the town reads some of us hold for him.

Why would you be protecting Ultra last night? His role protects himself, and you have no excuse to not be clued in on this - it was discussed at length yesterday. Why would you even protect someone who was trying to prove their claim? If he targeted Scum, and would usually have died, he would have survived due to your protection, no? So in other words, you tried to create a false positive result?
This feels like a pretty transparent attempt to put Lethal back onto the table again. Nonsense.
