Although in regards to the scum inactive theory (in general, general being the keyword) it can also be used to scum's advantage - it's a decent way of avoiding the spotlight as inactive players tend to be allowed to coast so they remain unnoticed throughout the game
It isn't until the final stages of the game where they're the last one left that the alarm bells go off
