Game Elden Ring Mafia

Still got nearly 20 pages left but I’ve not liked tweets contributions in any way at all lol. Usually when he’s town I do like his posts even if they’re not a lot or he’s making some kind of effort to read people but these have just been lazy and commentary rather than anything useful

poyser's read on lethal was meta based and meta reads r worthless anyway in the grand scheme of the game. its just a placeholder. i tend to agree that what lethal is doing is more NAI because

1. lethal just got scum read last game (1~2 weeks ago) for playing in his "scum meta". id think if he rolled scum here he would try to deliberately change it so he doesn't get caught for same reasons
2. lethal admittedly knows poyser can read him like a book for his scum meta. if he is approaching poyser as scum it wud need to be completely different approach than last game

expecting lethal to play the same way hes just got caught with last game is just saying he is a bad player and underestimating him so..

@RDK @Poyser

Obviously I wasn't aware of this when I made my points. But if you take the points I made and use this as reference. What are your thoughts now?

It's not my job to scum read myself

Never disputed that, it's still a product of my work, there's been nothing lazy about my play today. You know that, you've seen me be lazy, this isn't it.

This is a quite desperate attempt to discredit some of my reads I think.

Made very transparant by your theory I'm bussing Aurelia.

Now if he is your teammate, you'll point to that, rather than give my reads any credit.

I'd let him go mate before more damage is done.
Yeah the bussing point was insane, obviously not aligned lol

in fact that does remind me of last game where he used theories of me bussing *checks notes* everybody so he could keep sussing me

I think the meta he applied to his read of me showed that he was making a genuine attempt at reading me
Not really he just made a generic statement. Is it even true? Pretty sure I’ve seen you push aggressively as scum before

Purely on play and how he went about his claim (before, during and after), I'm comfortable lynching Aurelian, to be honest.

What about Soulkiller and I is making sense? Can you quote a few posts you liked?
My apologies Great Tweet I'm playing on mobile and it just shat itself whilst I was quoting.
But essentially I like your thoughts on Aurelian's posts as I'd had some of those thoughts myself and as we all know great warriors often think in similar ways and your reputation precedes you. I Can provide you with specific quotes In a couple of hours when im on lunch.

The verbal sparring on this most sacred of competition grounds has me giddy with delight for the challenges we are to face. The quality of challengers here is most certainly not lacking!

Perhaps cherry picking isn't the right word. But I feel like there's an opportunistic agenda behind your play.
Just one more thing I noticed during the readback, but this never got followed up.

Sounds to me like you made a hollow statement for a semi-push (hoping someone would bite perhaps?) and then when CP pushed back you abandoned it immediately.

In regards to the possibility of this being a scum fake claim, in the Game of Thrones game (I ask those familiar with Gram as a host to bear with us on this, as it's the best point of reference we have) our scum team had tokens we could exchange, I think around 2 or 3, in return for Gram to make us a fake role based off of one of the fake character names he provided us. It was my understanding that this was done precisely because it was hosted on a place where most players were not familiar with his customs, to avoid getting caught out by claiming a role name that isn't the same terminology Gram uses etc.

Given where this is hosted, I suspect something similar might be in play here. Which is to say, any fake claim made, even ones that seem to be non-town, could potentially be provided by the host. I don't believe Fang is using one from the host here. If he were, then his initial reluctance to claim only hurts his position and he would have then burned a limited resource for his team on a prayer of a chance of escaping the lynch, and then weirdly wouldn't claim character on top of this. It's hard to track any pattern of play there that makes sense, so if you believe the role claim is plausible then I would suggest thinking about this. Personally, I *could* see this being someone familiar with the flavour scrambling to claim something that sounds useful, without much in the way of detail. More likely to be a real claim with some variance, especially around the wincon, but I'm more inclined to believe it's fake than a host-provided fake claim.

It's not rude at all, you shouldn't expect us to do all the work and then spoon feed you the game when we don't even know which side you're batting for. I've no idea what you actually expected anyone to say why you asked what to do, you know what to do

As soon as you asked a meaningful question I gave you a quality answer
To be fair to phenom, when im around I usually do just tell him what to do :hestonpls poor @PHEN0M didn’t know what hit him here

still dont want to lynch him today tho, feels like a waste of scumhunting opportunity
I think your position is fair, but we do have less than 10 hours left if I'm not mistaken. Or maybe around 10. I'm not with you regarding Retro, if anything I lean town on them, so is there any other player you'd like to discuss?

Wow, so much content since I was last on.

I had a skim on the train to and from the cricket today, obvs gonna do a better rehash with direct points etc later, but I did note that the Aurelian vs Ratchet thing was kinda uncomfortable to see (they have legit heat??) and very distracting.

Aurelian has claimed an indy-ish role, and this alone prevents me from thinking Ekko is scum protecting a team mate. I've not really liked what I've seen from him.

I will give soft lean of town for CP who is actually playing this time, although I say this with 2% confidence cos I always struggle to read him with confidence.

Gonna finish my re-read whilst comfy at the PC and get some more reads/leans out.

One that did catch my eye but I can't remember exactly where - Tweet I think it was picked up that Ekko is approaching this game in a very similar manner to how he was for Xmas mafia. In fact Ekko has given me a subtle town lean for not "shit talking" in this game, but he used this as a premise to town lean me at Xmas for also not "shit talking." It's a huge parallel to his usual near-tunnel of my gameplay and scum leaning. At least Pein is consistent with his Lethal tunneling.

Dang, I'm really feeling this actually! Hence my post about there being an echo/Ekko. Feels like Ekko is snuggling up to Poyser hard which is a 180 from the previous game where he was scum and Poyser was town. A deliberate attempt to reverse his meta? What say you @Poyser ?

I'm actually getting the same vibe.

He also says Lethal is town, yet challenged Lethal about proving me right on my points against him. Then defended me against Ratchet.

I think Ekko has read way too much into you refamiliarising yourself with my game. What's it been - 12 months?

I've return from work, I have only a few things to say and will leave it at that:

1. The people who have actually played multiple games with me would be Ekko, Ultra (to a lesser extent), and Retro, I've only ever played mafia with Ratchet, Ral, Yoshi, Soulkiller, a few times (Gogeta's DB mafia, the grand heist one Ekko did, the Nitty Favorites one last year, etc...); very few of you guys here actually know my 'meta' or anything like that at all, most of you simply don't know how I play mafia because this is our first time playing together.

2. The game started at 4am my time zone, I've literally seen people get jumped on even with IRL complications like school or work or holidays getting targeted because they weren't in the game "from the start" the host kicked things off and that's been my experience for years.

3. I don't generally role-claim in day 1 so its not going to happen here even if it means I'm going to get lynched for how weird this pivoted with RDK; also more baffling because I haven't been day 1'd a lynch focus or target in over years and years so this is a brand new experience. If you want to play the meta card here, you can ask Ekko's experience with me as either a host or a fellow player how I had a massive row with both Soul and especially Ratchet in mafia games. I remember the DB one where Ratchet kept throwing aspersions at me and that shadow of doubt being crept on despite him sniping Uzukage (Android 17/town) and then trying to night kill Vegeta as the scum purple team's godfather based off also past games being a factor. But simply put I do not have a restrictive or one-dimensional style if you want to play the scum or town roles; and this is an environment where I'm playing with fuckers who constitute the majority of the game I've never played with before so I don't know how they will react or if I should be more or less aggressive.

4. Just coming back from my work and seeing how much time has passed and barely anyone else addressing how weird and absolutely scummy it comes off with Yoshi flip-flopping so oddly between attacking RDK to defend me then going the inverse of that out of nowhere is something that bares noticing; it might mean nothing or might mean something but to my knowledge the only person whose made a note of this in particular was Ultra. Handwaving how Yoshi's bizarre display and behavior being so oddly schizophrenic and logic defying in its irrationality certainly would apply minimum watching on him, newbie player or not. Also bares mentioning that when I called out Yoshi claiming we're "mafia buddies" and explain on that shit further, he says nothing the rest of the game to address this.

5. I can be stubborn but I will maintain I never was in particular 'defensive' about anything with RDK, I explained myself, he pushes, I explain myself again. Maybe you guys from AFH have a really non-standard definition of what being defensive means because it doesn't link with Oxford definition. I explained this to Poyser who more or less has been as much of a substance-lacking cheerleader for this bandwagon at me as anyone else.

6. Going over what Ekko, Ultra, and Retrolize have said, there seems more to be a foregone and settled conclusion merely to satisfy a lynch is going to happen regardless of how it ended up, that being me in the crosshairs, by some of those who are pretty much coasting off jumping in. No rhyme, no rhythm, no reason; simply jumping into it.

7. Final point: I will repeat I will not role-claim. I will not role-hint on day 1, period. If I by some miracle survive this lynch, and for argument's sake, implicate I have a important town role then I have a dead man's mark on my head anyways for however the night phase plays out. Maybe getting role-crushed, maybe just getting killed and offed before the next day phase. There is legitimately nothing that would off-set scraping by surviving a lynch just to lose everything in the next phase by gambling it all to live 10-20 minutes later mechanically speaking. People role-fishing this early in the game are generally either hostile anti-town indies or outright scum/mafia because getting all the juicy ducks in a row for town to start discrediting for future misdirected lynches or killing off quite possibly the worst way to play the game if you are a valid townie.

If you want to say anything else to me or ask me why I shouldn't be lynched and Yoshi or someone else should be, feel free but my time is limited.
Lame af

You didn't like RDK town reading T-Pein, but here you are town reading Arp who so far from where I am standing 11 pages in made no noticeable thing that warrant such read. T-Pein here actually does look better in retrospect.
RDK is haza he is in my town reads there
