Don’t think you can surmise it’s a Hail Mary when he’s been hinting it since D2 lll

Pretty sure if Gad and Mango are both town then RDK is likely scum and or either hime or Rugrat would be the remaining mafia and indy/SK

Yeah I agree he just gets pushed out to the boundary given his behavior in comparison to the claimed invests anyway. He's fallen off like a rock. Don't think it's hard for him to breadcrumb that role and don't think it's something he couldn't back out of or rely on people to forget about.
 
I mean the fact EDK isn't being considered mafia rolecop and using TMI if Rugrat is town isn't even being considered so w/e

It does stand up to scrutiny - I guess I'll explain again.

I cop Watson Night 1.
I defend her Day 2.
Night 2 I cop Rugrat. When Day 3 starts, I see Watson was scum, and not Godfather. That means I was either redirected Night 1, or she was lawyer'd. Possibly some other permutations going on there too.

Now I think back to Day 2. If scum busdrive her, or lawyer'd her, they are going to have seen me defend her unduly - not much of a stretch to imagine that they may have caught onto to me being the cop. That then leads me to my investigation on Rugrat. For that to be genuine, scum would have to have either not caught on, which would be somewhat surprising given their information pool, or decide to let me cop for free anyway. I think the latter can be ruled out pretty much entirely given how day 2 ended. QED, I have reason to doubt my role results.

So which part of this isn't holding up to scrutiny?

Ok Poyser I'm going to appeal to your experience here, we'll know the answer soon but let me just ask you out of curiosity.

Who do you think, in a vacuum, is more likely to be non-town faking a cop claim:

- A guy who smugly asserts his claim, is caught in a lie sheerly by his own devices and admits he was trying to bluff more than he has

or

- Guy who is barely still active meekly says "don't lynch me I'm cop" and is relying sheerly on the strength of his claim

RDK sounds way more like me in Medieval

Because this relies upon a redirector - notwithstanding that, they’d have to anticipate exactly who is being copped n2 to tamper at the receiving end

And this scum team is fucking shit if you haven’t noticed

It's not like it's all that convoluted - he just starts by leaning into to faking info and then works from there. If, as indie, he has nothing to protect against alignment checks, that could be enough to at least make him suspect that a true cop isn't fully present. I mean, between him, and Fang fake claiming Cop because he's scum JoAT, I definitely don't think Fang is the more likely scum off the back of that. This is a player that claimed his Serial role basically straight up in a previous game, what makes you think he's going to gamble on a cop claim?

Except the top isn’t really what happened. He didn’t get caught in a bluff by his own devices, he changed his claim once people didn’t immediately have him as town after his claim and pointed out that there might not be a cop because there’s been a hider. Then he backed off and said it was 1 shot and then he backed off again and said he had a vig shot and then he claimed the rest later. It’s not really how you describe it here lol

I’m not denying RDKs play hasn’t been up to much, I just really struggle to see the scum motivation in doing what he’s done. I’m not buying that he was breadcrumbing an invest role with the idea he could back out or that people would forget. Not gonna consider that at all. If you’re theorising that he’s fake claiming cop, then you have to concede that he decided to do so on D2 because that’s when he started hinting at it so again the Hail Mary doesn’t stand up
