This is the dead truth; no way I thought Lethal fooled Poyser that badly; thought he had to be wolf. I got a lot of respect for his game so I just couldn't believe that happened. I hope @Lethal enjoyed Poyser's mislynch, though.

It's not even really about the slip. Once it's clear that a player can't be a lynchpin, scum can move on from them for free here. The reason it's Death Note theme'd is it emulates the cat-and-mouse chase of the series. While there is still a plausible argumnt for that player to be scum, the town have incentive to lynch them.

I mean, I tried D1 for this exact reason. He was always a safe vote. But what can you do when nobody follows and then I just moved on from Pein.

Plurality does have its issues too. You're correct that it's really not the system, it's the players, but players who are disorganized and don't really care or know what's going on are more empowered by Maj. And the lynches trend towards low hanging fruit, without knowing shit about the game you could probably predict Ekko and Lethal get lynched just because they are pretty easy too lol

Democracy is a sham and mafia is one of the best arguments for it

Ekko, in this game, should almost never be lynched because his claim is both veritable and self-resolving. In the end, I obviously have a preference for majority, but most of the complaints for it seem to be either it's too hard to get a consensus or it enables sheeping. To which I say, a forced consensus is better than a couple of votes being able to lynch a player, and that plurality also enables sheeping in the same way majority does.

even if they were wrong in their reads, they at least were driving discussion and actually solving. they actually CARED the most

specially poyser when it comes to my wagon. i appreciate him actually taking the time to question me and talk to me while the rest sat watching and posturing and have no input on their own.

ultra might have been wrong on me but I felt like he was genuinely just working with so many unknowns and so much laziness around it was impossible for him to find where to start from. it was overall just a miserable experience and position to be in

I don't really have an issue with that. It's a learning experience at the end of the day, and I'm pretty certain I'm in a comfortable minority of 1 of players/hosts who like lynchpins besides (I also like Kingmaker, so...). As a first run around, I don't think it was a horrible attempt - claiming was mostly controlled and later in the game I think the general strategy clicked on for players, which is really all I hoped for.

I think, as long as there was some fun to be had by most, I'm satisfied. I have definitely gotten too comfortable with lynchpins lately though, so next one I end up hosting *probably* won't have them.
